The sun and my eldest daughter just don't go together:
The shot was taken on aperture priority 50 ISO about 250 shutter speed with a circular polariser on my 28 - 135 IS USM lens but I always have problems with her hair looking washed out in the sun. Is there any tips / techniques or suggestions (apart from keep her out of the sun) that I can use.
one thing I can think of, shoot in RAW and in PS raw converter expose one shot for the hair, and then another for the darker/background etc
Combine two in PS
or expose for the hair in camera, and hope you can use the gamma adjustments to bring out the detail in the darker areas in PS _________________ -----------------------------------------------------
get her to wear a hat... _________________ The sun cannot set,

It can't be right,
That night will come,
Without you.
The only suggestions I can think of are to agree with Dave, shoot RAW because you have a known exposure issue with her hair, and the other is to use flash, where possible, for daylight shots. Course you could always carry a 3 foot reflector with you to get more light on her.
