Great shot, love the lighting.

You said you have your own studio, what sort of equipment do you use (I've been looking at getting some for a while but unsure what to get), have you any tips for people new to studio work?

Mike

Wonderful portrait, how did you get Van Gogh to sit for you? I haven't used Rembrandt lighting yet, still in the very beginings of learning studio work. It's good to have someone of experience here.

hi , I work on BOWENS studio ESPIRIT2 lights . At the moment i use 2 1000W heads but am planning to extend the range to some other small more mobile units ...Bowens has just released some new 200 espirit gemini heads which are not expensive and should be great to add to my set. It seems like they could be good to take on location too !

I have some original lightshaping accessories but like to play around with , mateal foil , fabtics , card and paper to create my own too.

This portrait was shot with :
small 2 layered softbox as a main light, 2 small reflectores which helped to create fill in effect and created light ratio which i needed for this image. there is a back light too , i used a single head with 50 deg reflector with honeybomb and burn doors .

cheers
