I wouldn't say "not a very good one", it's not bad at all.

There is a halo around the castle, which I find appearing in my HDR's, and it is a case of tweaking the sliders in your HDR software to get it right.

yep agree with the halos - make sure your smoothing is maxed out and the overall strength doesn't have to be mental. For a first attempt it's perfectly acceptable, but for me the very best hdr shots don't look like hdr Smile

i wrote an intro to hdr here a while back (stickied in the techniques forum)

Is it HDR, or a tonemapped image?  i.e. is it blended from more than one image, or from one image with numerous exposures?

There are lots of things to keep the eye interested, but as already said the halo is a distraction.  Its a great first attempt though, on a subject with holds lots of interest.  Smile
