Just got back from a visit to Whinfell Forest in the Lake District

those really show off the red squirrel at its best. great light on the fur showing off his colour.

the grey squirrel that has been regularly visiting our bird feeder 3 times a day for the past 6 months or so has gone. i think he fell out of his tree due to being overweight - he could get through a bird feeder full a day!
