Lol thats quite a coincidence, went to Chatsworth Garden centre today and they had some Landscape shots with a similar effect but both me and the wife agreed it didn't work but seeing it used on a different subject I like it and think it works well.

What have you done to get the effect?

Thanks Mike, I've used a sketch effect on the orginal picture, then I did something I use all the time, add a new layer of the original picture and use the soft light blending mode.

I actually like this portrait a lot, but I'm not sure I like the special effects. You've cropped the shot perfectly, though. The way her hair is hanging down is what I really like, it frames the face just right. I think this picture might work well as a B&W. Smile

This will probably explain why I did an arty farty job on this picture Blue. I liked something about the shot but didn't feel it was going to work without a lot of something.
