I was so intrigued by Keith's stilletos, for some reason, that I wanted to play with some, too. It was great fun- although my lighting is not nearly as good- I definitely need to get a light-box. Also, I should have shined up the shoe more... but I just wanted to show y'all what I managed on my first go. What do you think? Any suggestions for improvement? I will probably be working on this more tomorrow. _________________ Discovery consists of seeing what everybody has seen and thinking what nobody has thought. - Albert Gyorgyi
Yee haa, I am delighted you've gone here, messing about is such fun and it's great to view what others do with a similar subject because you can swap ideas. I like this shot very much apart from thinking the heel could use a little more light to bring it out. All the rest seems to work and I like the soft lighting on the bra, which keeps it in the picture with dominating as I think it would if the lighting were stronger on it. Nice one and I look forward to more.
Edit: Thanks you've put me in the mood. I did another shoot the other day and it was a disaster, so I am going to have another go today. _________________
Very very nice image - lighting looks alright to me, only very picky thisng for me is the bow going off the image at the left hand side and the slight cut off on the right - told you - picky.
Nice to some lighting studio shots going _________________ -----------------------------------------------------
Thanks for the feedback! I wasn't sure about the cut-off on the left and right either... it wasn't intentional.
Incidentally, the backround is just a 79 cent piece of silverish colored posterboard! I was very happy with the return on that investment, LOL... and to think I almost wasted my money on an infinity board. I do definitely need that lighting tent, though- I just noticed the very obvious reflection of my umbrella in the shoe. _________________ Discovery consists of seeing what everybody has seen and thinking what nobody has thought. - Albert Gyorgyi
Yep, I think the silvery poster board is excellant. Oddly enough I just had a play with your image and if you have Highlight/Midtone/Shadow adjustment available, upping the midtone really lifts the heel and sole a lot, with no damage to the rest of the picture. _________________
Good idea.. I'll have to try that next. I was also thinking of doing one with panties, maybe the heel of the shoe going through the leg-hole. (getting a bit racy here, I know- out of my comfort zone a little, LOL) _________________ Discovery consists of seeing what everybody has seen and thinking what nobody has thought. - Albert Gyorgyi
