Have been given a Canon 10D to play with, hence my relative quietness on here of late......

Anyway took the thing down Vancouver's less touristy end of town.  See what you think.

some really nice street images there, not too sure that I would be brave enough to walk (if that's waht you did) around in an area like that with long lens on a camera.

#1, has the edge, couple of distactions there, and shooting a second or so later may have helped in getting rid of the head behind the subject person.

I felt a little nervous walking about to start with, then I felt almost 'rude' to be there with a camera.  Embarassed

In terms of the timing of #1 - I saw the gentleman, and was aware of a bus coming so I grabbed what I could before the bus blocked my view.  Confused  I will be going back soon, as I never felt I captured the grittyness of the place.

Thanks for all yuor comments!  Smile

brave man!

personally, i like #3 and #4. #3 looks absolutely fab in black and white - it really adds an industrial feel to the shot.

#4 is great - i'm not sure if the sad face in the parking meter is on purpose or not, but to me having that there and the person sleeping alone makes this shot the outright winner.

(if it was intentional, then that's a very smart shot indeed, and if not, pretend!!)
