Eye of the Beholder

B&W portraits-thanks for looking

Thanks for looking! Any comments and Cc is always welcome. ISO400 ss1/80 f3.20 50mm, natural light

Looks like you've sorted the posting!

For me it has to be no.2 love the look of this picture the drama and mood I really like, my only criticism is the hand appears a bit blown.
The first is a close 2nd but would have liked a bit more detail in the eyes.
Not sure about the 3rd one could be just the crop, could be the colour hmmm......

It's OMO but there all good shots, nice work.

have to agree with No 2

shadows on the other two spoil images slightly, reflector would help, and if you had one then maybe placing in different position

Hmmm. Thanks Mike I will need to fix that hand. I actually didn't use a reflector on purpose but I guess I can see how some would not like that effect.

It's number 2 for me too and would like to see it if you can restore the blown hand. I'm not very keen on sepia, it's kind of been done to death.

I came across a tip yesterday that might help with #1, having a light far removed but in line with the camera can put an eye highlight in without throwing out your chosen lighting.

Really like the second one. Great natural capture.
