No 2 is a lovely shot, and No 3 is a better study of the (I assume) Dad's hands. I think the first shot falls down because of the pink blanket. The baby's head looks fine but it all sort of goes mushy lower down. I think a white blanket might have worked better. Having said that I think the lighting is spot on in all of them. Well done mate.

i always go to my father for advice on my photos first..
he used to be a photography (sports) and is always very honest...(which is exactly what a photographer needs, if they can handle it!!!!)
he said EXACTLY the same thing...
and i totally agree..which is why i was so pi$$ed off when i looked at the photos..cos these are the best shots yet there is clearly things wrong with them...
still, its all a good learning curve!!!!
thanks Keith...appreciate the comments as always...

Have you tried a crop on No 2 just the heads and maybe a bit of torso? Looks like there might be a blinder there, reckon you could crop off the top of Dad's head and crop baby just above Dad's finger on baby's back.
As you say, we, and I include me, are doing all the right things, just on a huge learning curve and learning curves are good. Great stuff.

Great shots mate - I also agree with Keith about the second picture; cropping top & bottom. It would be a killer shot.

Not too much to add, but a thought on the 3rd one, maybe tighter crop hands and head only - the dads arm on the right is a distraction - - cloning job (just a thought)

And that is the beauty of a studio, it offers the unique space to work on stuff as against the 'opportunistic' stuff that is life photography.
