I think you will find that the cheaper batteries do not have the same rating as the originals
When I ordered a cheap one, not throgh ebay but picstop
rating of the battery was 1300mAh whereas the originals are 1500 so battery life is reduced.
Always remember
you get what you pay for, if it £4 on ebay and £45 original then .........

I was in a similar situation a few months back a decided to buy one of the Canon compatible ones from www.7dayshop.com
The originals are 7.V 1390mAh, but the compatible ones are rated at 7.4v (and super high capacity) 1500mAh. I found it lasts as long as my original battery does so I've brought another 3 and have had no problems.
Read somewhere if you have the battery pack / grip don't mix up original batteries with compatible ones but then I think it says that with normal AA batteries also.
If you decide to buy Canon originals then 7dayshop do them for £37.99
The compatible ones for your camera are £5.99 each Here or £9.99 for 2 Here and rated at 7.4v 750mAh (not sure what the originals are rated at).
In the end it's up to you.
