You've overcooked the tonemapping on the second shot - there's a halo around the intersection of land and sea/sky, and the 3rd shot is slightly overdone too - the far left of the rock is a bit too bright
I'm assuming you've done something to bring up the waystone in the last pic, definitely a good call and it's clear to see that you've put thought into your composition and focus
Keep working at the tone mapping and post processing - all of the shots are good, and patience/practice with your post processing techniques will help bring out the best from them

It's a layered exposure blend, one exposure for the background and one for the stone - tweaked the curves and saturation to make it stand out against the background. Both exposures focussed on the waystone.

the retweaked images are much better for me, the originals had that classic unnatural hdr look.
the waystone is well composed image, and the use of blending two images works very well

I prefer the first one of the first set personally.
The tonemapped ones are a little overcooked for my liking, and as Jon said, very obvious in the application. The second set still suffers a little from haloing, but is much nicer looking that your first attempt.
4th shot in the first set would look really nice with a lil 'tweak' I think....

Cheers for the feedback, still need to spend more time on the post process.
I can't see the halo effect on my screen at home or work.
