Help with Flash.I've got a 40th wedding anniversary on Friday night and have been asked to take some pictures.
The venue means flash will be a must so I've been taking pictures using flash to get some practise in.
Main problem I'm finding is they seem to be a little bland / lifeless anyone any tips or ideas.
Equipment is Canon 5D, 430EX Flash fitted with a Stofen Diffuser and 24-105 lens.
Thanks Mike

I don't know your equipment Mike, but I have been using fill flash (can't remember if that's what its proper name is) and find it gives a better result. It might be the back lighting option, it doesn't glare out the subject. I'll check my manual to see what it's called for my camera.
Edit: If you get time to practice, try the slow sync or rear curtain sync.

Cheers m8 been trying it in Av,Tv, full Manual and even Auto mode and the results vary alot.
Dug up an old post that believe it or not I posted in the forum which as made things a lot better / clearer so I'm more confident.
I'm now getting more consistent results (took long enough though)
So fingers crossed all should be OK.
