Ice-Hockeyerm before we start can I just say that these are shot through safety glass - the only way you can watch a game unless you want to be hit by a puck! And its my first time taking sports photos and my first time taking ice-hockey pictures - be gentle! please!
Oh I put my favourite one in the monthly competition
Lets go Phoenix Lets go

You've got some good action shots, only suggestion I'd make is a faster shutter speed to catch the action better (less blur).
Considering your under man made lighting and behind safety glass I think you've done a pretty good job.

Thank you I think I picked the most difficult subject to cut my sporting photo teeth on. What with the safety glass the man-made lighting and the sheer speed of the sport it was a bit of a challenge to say the least! Its a good place to take photos - no restrictions only rule was no flash photography at any time.
I didn't mind the blurring in some of the pictures because to me some players being clear and some blurred suggested how the spectator sees the game. But thats just a personal opinion. I will certainly have a go at changing the shutter speed for the next ice-hockey game because its all good experience
