InsuranceJust looking at my household cover and not sure it's what I need for my growing collection of photographic gear. Be interesting to hear what other people do.
thanks Brian

Hi Brian,
I've got mine covered on the house insurance, can't just remember what my single item limit is but I had to specify the 5D body separately and I think that cost me an extra 30 ish pounds.
The cover I get is as good and better than alot of the designated camera insurers. So now I'm covered if it's on my person or left in the car and also accidental damage (this old for new thing).
Make sure you double check everything and go over it a couple of times with your insurer so they and you both know exactly what you want and what your getting. Like me it may cost you a few extra £'s but it's worth it for peace of mind IMO.

I have the same as Mike, I don't have to declare anything unless it's over £1000 and as I don't it's just the basic package, new for old.

Same for me - on house but remember that
Some insurers will not split body and lens - so if combined over £1000 it becomes an issue.
