Is this fixable? And is it worth fixing?
It was taken while on holiday and was getting eaten alive so I paid too much attention to keeping the camera still and what angle I wanted to notice the flipping weed in the way.
Is there anything I can do to fix it - I'm having trouble as the trees in the background are so detailed.
Any advice greatly appreciated.

isn't this the kind of thing you can do in layers? Says she, who has no idea at all, but would like to think that it could be fixed because it's a cracking shot.

This is the kind of rescue work that cloning is probably not going to achieve. I would suggest importing a new section of trees. Cloning might rescue the stone work, or you could try replacing the stones with others from the same area and using the clone to hide anything that is an obvious repeat.
I hope I am not stating the obvious, but if you replace the trees I would then place a copy of the tower over the top and do the rescue work on the tower on that level. Basically is something is in front in the picture, make sure it stays in front.

I hope you don't mind BA Fly, I had a quick go. I don't have any pictures that match the trees so I have had to use trees from your shot. Building up the trees took 6 layers, cutting round them and cloning parts in that helped them blend. I placed the tower over the top, copied the left side to the right as a new layer and mirrored it, and did some cloning along the edge of the tower to get rid of any inconstancies. I cloned the lightning rods to get rid of the orange colour. So 8 Layers in all. Working to this size was pretty quick, as much detail is lost in the size of the image, and it is a rough and ready job, but it can certainly be done.

Great, many thanks for that.
Yes, that's what I thought would have to happen, but wanted some reassurance I wasn't going to be wasting my time. I was thinking of taking the opposite corner of the tower and flipping it and then maybe adjusting the colours for a better match.
If all goes well, I'll post the final image - if not, I'll be asking for more help

Good luck, and I hope you have other shots you can take trees from as it's best to have nothing that even hints of a repeat, as there is in my attempt.

That's wonderful, apart from, on my screen, there is a bar going through the picture, and somehow I don't think that was you. It looks like something got skewed in reduction or in uploading. That aside, it looks like a great job.

You are most welcome, that's what it's all about. That odd line has gone now, might have been my browser.
