Very nice graphic shot. Good uniform background and sharp contrasts and shapes.
I think this is one of those 85% images - damn good. But it needs a little to get to 99% 
The one thing I think it needs is some fill lighting. It's a little too much in shadow.
The other thing that would help would be a deep dof so everything is pin sharp.
Good shot with the potential to be terrific!

i used a desk lamp and a macro ring flash for this shot!!!!!
all very well and good, but if you dont know what you are doing with them it make no difference!!!

lol - I know what you mean.
I guess I say that because for the concept of this as graphic art to work (which is what I see it as), I'd like to see the white parts of the leaves be more white - they look a little gray on my monitor. Similarly with the green parts of the stamen(?). I think they would pop if brighter.
In any case, I like this.

Its a shot I like - a lot, although agree with previous comments.
Looks like the ring flash may have been a bit too close to the leaves maybe, to cause the flower to be slightly shadowed.
