ND grad filters

As title says really, im after some soft edge nd grad filters, I done know to much about what i should really get, ive ordered a cokin holder and rig set for my lenses, But should i go for cokin filters? ive heard some bad reports about them giving a funny colour cast to the picture,if anybody else has heard this what do you use? ive heard Hitech filters are good?

any help would be great

Thank you

Have to admit that I have not noticed any colour cast when I have used the Cokin

From what I have heard 'Lee' make the best ND grad filters, but to be honest, as with anything you pays your money.......  and i'm not sure the elevated Lee price reflects that much extra quality. (from other forum discussions I hasten to add)

I've never heard particularly bad things about Cokin either, so I say go for it!!  (then come back and tell me how they work out for you, as I'm in the market for something similar too  Smile )

I've heard about the colour cast comments before but I've also heard of plenty of people who haven't suffered.. i wonder whether those that have seen the problem were on auto wb

Well i still cant make my mind up. Ive been away last couple of days, so now gonna have to do some research into this, i dont want to waste money if i then am not happy with the colour cast.

But as you say where they usinf on AWB possible, but i have no way of finding that info out.
