Orbs.....Not wanting to sound like a doubter, or equally as a narrow minded individual, I thought i'd share this discussion I'm currently having with my Mam.
She has posted up a couple of pictures of a recent trip to Nepal, that has got some of her Healing freinds all excited, due to the presence of 'orbs'. Now being a keen(ish) photographer, i saw these dots on her pictures as dust particles caught in her camera flash..... however, her freinds see them as 'orbs' or 'spheres' of energy from Angels. My mother has suggested i read this site http://www.dianacooper.com/index....sk=view&id=278&Itemid=153
What do you lot make of this? I shall get the pictures she sent up on here in a bit, for comparison!
Edited to add Mam's pictures.......

I'm actually not a skeptic by nature, I would like to believe in things that I can not see... but honestly this just looks like someone had a really dirty lens, and a few might be lens flare. I don't buy into orbs at all... and even if someone could prove that they weren't caused by the camera or light, to just go ahead and concoct a story about how they are angels is ridiculous. They might be unexplained- I can accept that- but let's not create fairy tales around the unexplained. It's not the 12th century.
(ok, maybe I AM a skeptic, LOL)

I'm with the skeptics myself. I'm sure there will be a logical explanation for the marks. Reminds me of a spooky old mirror inherited from my Dad. It looked clear in real life but when you saw a photograph of it, there were these weird marks across it, like X's and O's. My wife and I used to remark on this "haunted mirror" every time we saw photos of it - until my mother explained that when my brother and I were small, she was in the process of refurbishing the backing of the mirror and we took the opportunity to play Noughts and Crosses on the backing while her back was turned! It only showed up in photographs! Not haunted after all!

oh wow, most haunted comes to Mikes Forum
Seriously though, these look like bits of floating dust in the atmosphere, that are catching a bit of light.
Although, have to admit that I was hooked on the first series of Most Haunted, until they went to Blackpool, and the IR camera accidently caught two blokes in the supposedly totally empty tunnel they were in (light bulbs being smashed) who made a hurried departure

It's a very well known phenomenon caused by dust. But for anyone getting into the astral orb stuff, this is from the 2006 solstice at Stonehenge.

Not to hard to replicate either, just did a quick experiment in my living room, no shortage of dust there, I just flapped about a bit, f3.5, 1/60, using flash. Can this be spirits being drawn to the dream catcher?

orbs or angelsTheres a programme on UK television called Most Haunted. Its the funniest thing I have seen in years. Yvette Fielding screams at anything - she cracks me up. I do believe in ghosts but orbs defintaley not. And the fairies that live at the bottom of my garden are real too!

Youve got some of the fairies but theres another clan here too - they get everywhere you know.
Much worse than Yvette of course was the lovely Derek Accora - I mean how phoney is that guy!!
As for Most Haunted - why were the strange noises always in other rooms not the ones the investigators were in? When they ran to the next room the ghost had gone - what a surprise.
