Rights to your photos being nicked by social networking andHave a look at the following link
It seems that if you put images on Facebook and some others you are forfeiting your rights to your image !!!!!!! This article gives a good explanation - Flickr appears to be fine as you can set your privacy settings and copyright info on it.

Good luck trying - there was a case here recently where somebody tried to do exactly that.... they mightn't be visible to the general public once you remove them, but they still remain the propertly of Facebook..

It annoys the hell out of me, it's legal theft, but theft none the less. I knew about competitions and don't do them for that reason. I should have guessed with Facebook, after all it is was formed to provide recruitment information about US college students to businesses. I keep telling people to watch what they put up because it's so heavily monitored. I was on the other day and someone had put up pictures of themselves snorting coke, dumb, dumb, dumb.

The join up process to facebook put me off, so never revisited.

Every image I put on FB from now on will have a big water mark on it...., grrrr!

there's a flickr widget for facebook that i use - gets links to my flickr photos and there's no worry about giving flickr unrestricted use
