*** Amused *** You were brave using flash, but there is quite a bit of burn out in the centre.

Well, we've had severe weather warnings over ere, so hopefully there'll be a (snow)ball to roll. My older brother lives in Malvern which is a beautiful hilly part of the UK and regularly gets snow, so first hint and I'll be stalking the gritters all the way to his neck of the woods (only 80 miles away).

I absolutely agree with Flapjack, it isn't a crap pic it's a highly topical amusing one, as is the one above. Great stuff.

I need cheering up - the shock of returning to work on January 2nd has been far too great Laughing

Cute. Smile  The first one is very snap-shotty, of course, but I  know it was just meant to be fun.  I actually like that second one quite a bit.  Technically, though, you've got quite a few blown pixels- one huge one in the upper left.  May I ask what you shoot with, Greenwizard, and whether you shoot RAW or jpeg?

Have you ever tried shooting in RAW?

Might be something to try, then. Smile  I think that you have a really good eye for photography... I just notice that on a lot of your shots there are some technical quality issues, which may well be caused by (or made worse by) jpeg compression.  (I hope this doesn't sound rude at all.  It's not meant to be- I really admire your work.  I'd love to see you take it to a more technically perfect level. Working in RAW can be a good start. Smile)
GREENWIZARD

thanks for that
i know i should be shooting in raw i'll pluck up the courage & give it a whirl

Awesome!  Go for it, there's nothing to lose by trying, right?  And if you need any help or tips, this here's the place to get it. :D  Look forward to seeing some of your results. Smile
GREENWIZARD

thanks
