Spring is round the corner.I'm not sure about these but thought I'd share them anyway. The first one I tried to get a black background behind because of the background busy-ness in the second.The third one I was just taken with. it's almost as if there are feathers in the drop of water.

The first one for me Keith, would have liked maybe a few more of the water droplets in focus but it's a nice shot.
As you say the background in the second is to busy (distracting). |

I was foolish to take it at f2, I've never had to be this sensitive to DoF before, but this macro lens is a totally awesome beast. More practice needed. Oh, the hardship! The third pic I've added is one where I think the DoF works for it rather than against it. What do you think? |

Yeh would agree with that Keith think it's because it's a more end on shot. |

Mike, I seem to recall somewhere on the site a table giving the distance before and after the focal point for each f stop. Am I imagining that? Cos I took this at f5 and it's still wrong. This thing goes up to f32. Maybe I just need to experiment more.

Well thanks again, bloody marvelous service it is too. Weather permitting I shall have another go tomorrow and see what I get. I just did a quick sample, this is the result.
