Sunset on FuerteventuraThe day that we hired a car ended with us going back to El Cotillo on the western side of the island to see what the sunset had to offer.
I have quite a few of these to go through so I'm going to post a couple at a time (unless a better idea presents itself)
I'll post them in time order. Shots taken with the mini tripod against my chest, so not quite handheld, but not quite stable enough for perfect alignment of the pics.. still.. not far off on most of them

I love the first one in particular, but both are good.

Thanks guys, next two posted, first two thumbed Showing plenty of lens flare from the Tokina 12-24mm unfortunately but there's not much I could have done to avoid it.. I changed the angles on every shot and got some without it (you'll see those later)
I'm drip feeding these on to flickr so they get a fair chance of being seen, if I just uploaded all the sunset shots at once most of them would have got ignored, and I can't wait until they're all up before I share them in here

Good thinking on putting up a couple at a time Jon, I often don't put pictures up because it bothers me to put up a big series of similar-ish shots.
These are stunning shots though and well worth pacing them. I must say the green flare is a bit bothersome, compared to those without.

isn't it just :/ i do generally like the tokina 12-24, but it's far from a perfect lens
Once I've finally made my mind up over which ones to pay more attention to, I'll probably spend some time cloning it out

Next two are up this pair is essentially the same shot, one at around 24mm (ish, probably) and one at around 12mm (ish, probably)

lovely series of shots - the lens flare issue, the jury is out from me, as i feel some shots do benefit from it.

Ah now, these two are magnificent, and the rays on the first one are just right.

and another 2.. nearly finished now
the second one is a panorama - 2 separate 3-shot hdr images stitched using ptgui, same technique as all the other shots: mini tripod held against chest for a handheld tripod 'fusion'. You can clearly see a small amount of movement at the extreme bottom edge of the first pic, 12mm gives absolutely no margin for error when handholding, and I'm no statue
