nightmareI agree it looks 'busy' but think the tree looks a little bit nightmarish - would be good as a book cover or illustration for a horror/ghost story. I hope you are not offended when I say that.

Great shot, love the tones. Hows the neck? know every time I try shots like this always makes mine hurt 
Is it a B&W or Monochrome? Hard to tell on my monitor
Have you tried the in camera monochrome setting yet (5D) gives some nice results.
