Everybody's feasting before the snow flies...

Beautiful image John.

Splendid capture. I had to look twice after seeing the ladybug comment!

Many thanks Pete.
I'm torn on whether to enhance the lady bug or not. Having something of additional interest in a picture, which might surprise an observant viewer, is a good thing I think.

In his book, George Barr says "In really good photographs, there is often as much going on at the edges as there is in the center, and there is much to explore in the image".
I guess it's that 'little extra to explore' in this image that I'm happy with.

I'm glad you did - she adds some real interest I think Smilie_PDT

Thanks Dave.

Thanks Keith. I am very happy with this one. I think I will process this again and take a little more care with the details. It's certainly one of the better pictures I taken lately.

It's always a treat when there is a another story going on or a touch of something else in a picture. It's be interesting to do picture exercises on the forum, not a comp, but a theme or an idea that we could each explore in our own way and share the pictures.

This is beautiful. I love the way the colours of the butterfly and background balance so well - all the colours do actually.

Kind of glad the badybird isn't a red one - that would have upset the colour balance.

Many thanks. We have a lot of Asian ladybugs around these days. They are more orange in colour than the red ones I remember as a child.

I'm glad you can see my photos now Laughing

Yes, so am I! I really don't know what the problem was though.
