Two shots from the solo tripI went down to newcastle the other day and climbed the famous mourne mountains. The weather was great and the mountains were masive.Perhaps the weather was to good as the sun was really harsh and ruind some shots.but that place is amazing Ive never seen anything like it.I didnt get many good shots im afraid just three keepers but I dont mind as I can always go back and try again.
Heres two of the shots
This is the view of the mountains from the beach. This shot dosent realy do the mountains any justice as the dont apear as big as the are and my 18 - 55mm kit lens couldnt fit them all in
I found this amazing river that I followed up so as not to get lost and this was one of the many waterfalls on it.again this shot does not show the size and scale of the river.

Good shots!! Both good... have you tried a panoramic shot of the hills? I haven't done one yet, but it seems to be a very good way of getting the full range in when there is just too much for the frame. Maybe a sky crop would give a bit more impact to the skyline of the hills?
I love the water in the second shot - nicely composed too.

Phew, you made it back...... I was starting to wonder if you were in one piece!
The first shot is nicely composed - I like the fact you are seeing the hills from sea level up. Its one of those aspects that some people miss when taking pictures of hills and mountains that rise straight up from the sea.. Good work!
Second shot - again looks nice, but are you able to tone down the water brightness at all?

PS - where is the third of the three keepers?
