Venom (aka Mike) The Admin Man

Suppose its only right i introduce myself (about time you say )

Well here goes: Names Mike (good start) I'm 35, Married to a great woman and have 2 gorgeous daughters.
We live in Derbyshire, England (Peak District).
By day I'm a wannabe Photographer and at night an Engineer.
I really enjoy photography and anything associated with it, ie Computers and Forums (that was the main reason i started this one).
Right enough about me, what about you?
creators

Hi Mike, great idea.

Who me? Keith. 55 yr old, aging hippy, semi retired through ill health and discovering what I always wanted to do, art, photography, graphics and creativity, I also play guitar and write the occasional song. I trained in Community and Youth Work, a career now, thankfully, over, I'm too old for that kind of head banging.

I'm divorced with a lovely daughter and grand daughter.

Being creative isn't a hobby, it's a life long obsession, not quite as nutty, or talented, as Van Gogh, maybe, and I still have both ears, but something like that.

Here we go

Dave here, 54 years old (just), Building Surveyor by profession, living in North Wales by the coast. Photography is a developing hobby, as well as this forum. Wife and 2 daughters (one living away from home, the other at home with our grandson - long story)

Visit Ireland quite extensively, has been 3 days every week for some time now, hoping to reduce it in very near future, but not before I get some more picture taking opportunities.

Well thats me,

A bit delayed in my introduction (typical of me I guess) So here goes...

I'm Sean. An IT project Manager by day. I work in London and have the pleasure of looking at the ugly face of adam for 7.5 hours every day (one of the moderators on this site) - not a nice face at all. Those balls in his mouth are real...

I'm 36, married to my gorgeous Sal, and we live in Greenwich. No kids at the momwnt, but soon hopefully!
Sal wants a dog. Then she'd also like a new kitchen, big silk curtains and for me to have a six pack like Daniel 'effing Craig. I can offer her the first two if, a) I get a payrise, or b) get some more money through photography (which is possible I have found!)
I can offer her the third if I either a) go to the nearest off licence in a tux, or b) make use of the gym membership I have.

Apart from trying to project manage and generally nag/beg/bribe people to deliver work 'stuff' during the day, I have a raw passion and love for photography. Always have done.

I have had a few successful moments in the last year regarding my photography - I've done some weddings, completed some brilliant courses in portrait photography and as a result got some private portrait commisions under my belt, Paperchase bought some of my work, and have sold some corporate material. All good fun. It's amazing what you can do when you have a real go at it!! And the experience gives me such a buzz to learn more.

Anyway, since I've joined this site I've seen some truly great work, shared some experience and actually learned some stuff - which is really brilliant.

So that's me.

So just a final well done to Venom for a great site.
Creators - thanks for screwing up my eyes with youyr stereo stuff.
Adam - thanks for outdoing me and getting your droplet photo on AP's site as their top picture. Git.

Cheers!

Hi everybody, just want to tell you a little bit more about me:
I´m 32 years old and married to a wonderful husband, we have no children at the moment. I´m working at an orthopaedic surgery as a doctor´s assistent.
Two months ago I entered the digital age after I´ve treated myself to
a Nikon D80. Before this buy I really disliked digital cameras (especially because of the manipulation
you could make with the camera and afterwards), but now I´m really, really hooked because of the flexibility
digital gives you (you could shoot as many pictures as you like and see the results in a few seconds). I´ve already bought Photoshop Elements 5.0 and after a "photo session" I rush to the computer to see if I could enhance the photos (especially converting it to b&w or sepia).
How times change...
Wishing everybody a nice weekend

And a massive attack fan?
Chickenhawk

Hi,

Names Ronnie from Scotland and I'm 53. I retired early from the N.H.S. where I was a ward manager. I have always been interested in photography but lost interest some years ago. Since retirement I got back into it, bought new gear to supplement my old Minolta lenses and now wonder where I found the time to work.
Have a partner and two sons. We bought a house in rural Spain last year near Jaen City and now travel back and forward enjoying life to the full.
