Try Trendmicro Housecall if you can get online, http://housecall.trendmicro.com/uk/ though I'm surprised anything got through AVG. Do you know how it got in? Also, it may just be your keyboard, when a keyboard goes down everything gets very weird. | ||

This is the first messsage I get when my internet messes up
Generic with host process for win 32has encountered a problem and needs to close. we are sorry for any inconvenience. Then I try to turn off my pay as you go modem and get this mesage undefined connection error 1722 |

Doesn't sound like a virus, but I would suggest you unistall and reinsatll the drivers for your modem. | ||

This is not a virus, it does sound like a driver issue.
Have you modified anything recently? added any hardware/software? |

No I havent added anything.This is the first time its let me on the internet all week.scince I tried some new software but still It keeps kicking me off after a while. | ||

Can I suggest you chuck your OS CD in, boot from it, go to the recovery console and run "chkdsk /r"
This should try and restore any corrupt inodes and files. |
