i think #1 might be better served with a closer crop, and i like what you've done in #3 - the dof works really well

Thanks. I might try cropping next time I look at that photo.
I did try b&w but didn't think it came out too well.

Hey Degsy, I take it you got your spirit level, as all of these (and your other recent post) are dead level!!!
The beach shot (last one) is nice, and the footprints in the sand is very classic! I like!
