I would love to get into a line of work that meant I could photochop all day, just don't know how. I'm not qualified in any way, I just learnt as I went along, though I have been thinking of doing a course to get some sort of qualification.

Why not see if you can be an apprentice to a photographer, there is a studio near me, Clicky that I had some shots done with, freebie, but I happened to get chatting with the rather lovely student lady that was photoing me and the wifeish. she mentioned that they were looking for an apprentice. No qualifications needed, but and interest would be good obviously. If I didn't have a job I would have gone for it. Get over making tea for the first week and then show them what your worth and maybe get your foot in the door. Without bits of paper to prove it its hard to get in the door.
Just an idea Kieth thats all.

Know what? Get that picture on screen and it's a corker. The foreground is really beautiful, though you lose that when it's reduced. I think the first thing I'm going to have a go at is just some enhancements of the picture as it is, then play around some. Hope others are going to have a go, it's always good seeing different ideas. Thanks for putting it up for chopping Dave.

Cheers Keith, Have fun

for those interested that's the Great Orme, with the white buildings to the right being part of the West Shore at Llandudno.

This is one of several attempts I've made. I put it away for a few days to give my eyes time to settle down again. I think this is the best of the bunch of having a go at the picture 'as is', but am still not sure. I've distorted the water coming across the foreground to boost it. I am still working on some foreground rocks or features. It's a real challenge this one, though it perhaps doesn't look it on the face of it.
