I thought maybe that added to them? To give them an unreal air like the gargoyles were perhaps part of a nightmare or living things not stone so the fuzziness? maybe not? My imagination is far better than my photographic skills! I love all the 'weathering' on them.

Some more weathered stuff. I sort of like the first one because its difficult sometimes to tell what is what - and the weathered metal looks like part of the natural surrounding. Again maybe that just my imagination running away with me!

I can see what you mean but the fuzziness doesn't float my personal boat.

The first shot second set is amazing, it has all the feel of an impressionist painting and is a picture that you need to pause over to really savour it. I like the other two, but the first one got my attention.

I agree. Motion blur can oftentimes work as a nice effect, but there still needs to be a focal point to the shot. I don't think camera shake ever really works... sorry. Sad What shutter speed were you using? Personally, I'm extremely lazy about using my tripod on location, so I hand-hold a lot of my shots, too. I have learned that for me, as a general rule, I can't hold the camera steady longer than 1/60 of a second. You may want to play around with that too, to find out what your "safe" speeds are. Smile

The gargoyles were quite high up and difficult to zoom in on - stiff neck time - LOL! only got a normal digital camera not an SLR. I will have a think about the speeds and finding a good speed for me to use - thats a really good idea - thanks Smile
