I took more than the three that I've posted here... and although I quite like them all... I'm pretty sure that I can improve on them. I'd really appreciate some cc on them all. Cheers  Very Happy

I think the colours are wrong here - a bit washed out perhaps.

I can see that this needs straightening up a little... but quite like the light

I quite like this one too but wondering whether I've cropped too tightly

Of the three, No 2 works best for me, No 1 I agree is washed out and No 3 instantly struck me as too tight a crop, but No 2 looks ok though it might be improved with including the rest of the stem and base.

For me number two stands out, but have to agree about the bottom of the glass needing to be in the image.

Like the upsidedown aspect of the other two, first one is washed out but there  is also a red distraction on the left that draws the eye away and would - in my opinion - be better cloned out.

And again, third - crop is a little too close.

Like the whole aspect of the series of shots, and I am sure the idea is likley to be plagiarised.

Thank you :D

I will be trying again - the glass in pic two was on a cluttered window so I cropped off the bottom as I've no idea how to clone out properly with my ACDSee 2 - in fact I'm really not very impressed with the software on a number of points and wish I could afford PS! I've got the Gimp but haven't got round to playing with it... really must spend some time experimenting and learning.

The Gimp is a seriously impressive bit of kit that will do everything you want and more. I am all at sea with it because it's such a radically different interface than I am used to but I can see all the kit is there. Also having trouble installing the help files.

I like #2 also, and with a little straightening it will be fab!

This one is from last year - and I can see things I'd change about it if I did it again... which I will. What an excuse to sit outside with a glass of wine on a sunny day!

Cool  q37

The scope for experimentation is, ahem, endless.  Very Happy

Lovely shot though!
