That was taken with a Sigma 50mm 1:2.8DG Macro lens with all three extension tubes on, 12, 20 and 36mm. When I am working that close I also put the camera in Exposure Delay Mode which flips the mirror up 1/40th second before the camera takes the picture to cut out extraneous movement. I also wanted a fair depth of field, nothing stupidly tight, hence the choice of f9.
Exposure time: 1/1.60
F-stop: 9.0
ISO speed: 100 _________________

u don't need a macro lens to use tubes - they'll reduce the minimum focus distance on any lens, even a telephoto ;) _________________There is nothing in life that cannot be improved with either monkeys, pirates or ninjas

o right well the longest zoom ive got is 200 but the focusing distnace is about a metre
might buy these first and see how close i can get
