While out for a quick evening stroll, apart from the sky I had a vision and tried to play around with a few things, here are the results.

I considered entering this in the Weekend "food" competetion under the title "Tea Time".

No matter how hard I tried, I could not get the red flag in the background, ah well, I do like the DOF though.

Trying out the macro side to the 17-85mm EFS

Love the 1st one Pete! The bright out of focus background adds nice interest and balance, yet the lighting and focus on the ball is perfect. This one gets my vote thumbright

Yep, No 1 is a great shot and I love the repeat effect of the ball and tee and the tree in the upper part. Excellent!
