I was going to pm Gilly, but I thought I'd ask this here so that all can benefit from his knowledge.

Gilly, I'm off to Colorado - Copper Mountain, Breckenridge and Vail - with my snowboard and camera.

I was wondering if you had any tips for photographing on the slops and dealing with harsh light in the brilliant snow?

Cheers,

Pete

The snow will cause your camera's meter to under-expose

Pete

I try to do as Jon has pointed out, but really I mostly use trial and error  Embarassed

Either way leave the camera behind on a few days and just go give her!!!!

Enjoy your trip matey!  Smile

Best tip I found was if the sky is blue, use manual metering off the sky, then compose your image
