Somehow the tyres don't work for me. Can you increase the black?
I think a shallower depth of field would have been good too (does that work with HDR?) as I find the barn a bit distracting.
Great detail though
I see where you are coming from, but tyres are rarely 'black', admittedly though they could be more black than they are. If you look at the seat and the roll frame, they are nearly black, so the blacks are there kind of.
DoF works with HDR, but (excuse time ) I never though about it Was more excited about the magic light and getting the shot fired off _________________ Bring on the snow, for I feel the need to ride.....
DoF does work, helps if you can keep the aperture constant across all shots and change the shutter (think aperture priority/av should do it?)
agree the shot needs more black in the shadow for realism - the shadows just look far too light atm _________________ There is nothing in life that cannot be improved with either monkeys, pirates or ninjas NPU Member
I think its a good hdr but I have to dissagree with the other guys about the blacks. The tyres are coverd in dry mud which gives the appearance that the blacks might be off but the blacks are fine...ish _________________ My oppinion is just my oppinion, nothing more
Sorry, should have been more specific - I didn't mean the tyres should be black, just that from me they are too light at the moment. I realise they're covered in mud, but they somehow just don't look right (maybe they look like they're covered in ash). I'd be interested to see how a little levels adjustment would make the tyres look (selective area only - not the whole image).
