Took these as part of my photography class - creative lighting.

Each one is a single exposure, with two light sources Razz

There is some discussion at home as to which is best suited to the wine in question. The wine is called 'the flame', and is a sweet dessert wine with a chilli pepper in it, to give it a little kick! Needless to say I drank it afterwards, as I felt I deserved it!!!! Shocked

what a great result.

Colours in all are great (gels on lights are editing?) - love the effect and so glad you enjoyed the process - especially the ending, bet it went down well.

If I had to choose best colour for the subject in question, it would be the last one.

I can't choose - they all look fantastic and all are very evocative.

Your shots of recent have been nothing short of astounding - thanks for sharing them, well done and keep up the excellent work!!

. I signed up for photography school with the sole intention of getting some incentive to get out and shoot, and I guess its working!!!!!

The lighting for this shoot consisted of the following:

5 second exposure, in a darkened room, with the first flash fired by remote on camera. It is the large softbox above the bottle that you can see outlined in the upper part of the bottle. Behind the bottle was a sheet of black cloth. The bottle was on a piece of dark plexiglass. After the strobe in the softbox fired, the black sheet was pulled up out of the way to reveal another strobe, gridded with a gel on it (to get the colour) manually flashing through an opaque sheet of plexi, to give it a diffused light. Once this had fired the sheet was dropped again to complete the shot.

All colours were as shot. All the PP consisted of was cleaning a few dirty spots off the plexi sheet on the base, a levels tweak and some minor sharpening.

Great results on all of those. I think red is my favourite too. Going back to school has definitely been a good move. How big is the class?
